Even though BMW has been planning a fully electric crossover with an impressive range for many years, the first details of its soon-to-be-released model have only now surfaced. The first tip is the following teaser picture which shows the futuristic design along with some information from the company management.
In addition to the new design language and the increased mileage, the future BMW iNEXT Crossover will become a technological benchmark with the latest devices.
Speaking of which: the well-known CEO Harald Kruger described the iNEXT as a “technology flagship” and explained: “For the first time we are combining all key technologies for future mobility in one vehicle. The iNEXT is fully electric, fully networked and also offers highly automated driving. “
Little is known about the future BMW iNEXT, apart from a few details about its body style and range.
According to a report by Automotive News magazine, the new electric crossover will be presented in a conceptual form and officially presented in full detail at the Paris Motor Show in September 2018.
From 2021 at the renowned BMW plant in Dingolfing in Germany, the new iNEXT electric crossover will be offered with a highly efficient modular battery pack with up to 120 kWh, which corresponds to a range of around 700 km on a single charge, which is quite astonishing. The model will also be the company’s first “Gen 5” vehicle, with a highly efficient battery and lots of technology on board.
Positioned directly above the new iX3, the new fully electric BMW iNEXT will be an extremely large crossover with “a striking greenhouse with trapezoidal shapes on the B-pillar”, similar to the I Vision Dynamics concept.
Since the topic is too hot, we expect more details in the coming period. In the meantime, take a look at the teaser picture of the BMW iNEXT and tell us how you imagine it!
